​Dr. David Crump is an accomplished surgeon with more than 20 years of experience in general surgery. He attended medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Crump is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the National Board of Medical Examiner.

From 1987 to 1996, Dr. Crump served as a captain in the U.S. Army National Guard medical corps before practicing for a short time in Rome, Georgia, and Fayetteville, Tennessee. Dr. Crump then relocated to Lucedale, Mississippi, with his wife and two boys, where he practiced general surgery for 18 years.
